So a few years ago, I knew a girl.
We used to call each other by our last names.
Girl got married.
I went to wedding.
A year after wedding, I called her by her premarried name. My bad. I forgot.
She seemed offended.
A few months after that, I called her by her premarried name again. She reminded me of her married name again. I got a follow up email. Just a snarky friendly reminder.
I had not seen her since that email. Talked on the phone a few times, few emails, few text but not in person.
I saw her this week.
I called her by her married name.
She is divorced.
